How a booking flows

The path a booking takes, from a client's first message to a confirmed slot on the calendar.

Every booking on Linebook follows the same five steps. Learn this path and you've learned the product — every screen maps to one of these stages.

Place at the top of the page, above the five numbered steps — the line is the product. Learn it once and every screen maps to a stage.
1A client fills in your booking site (yourshop.linebook.ink) — the idea, size, placement, reference photos and their contact details. They can pick an artist or leave it to you.
2It lands in Requests. The artist replies with a few proposed times — or, for a bigger piece, proposes a free consultation first (see Consultations).
NoteDidn't pick an artist? The request shows as Unassigned, and owners, managers and front desk can put it on a chair before anything is offered — the times and deposit come from that artist.
3The client picks a time and pays a deposit — e-Transfer, cash, or card. e-Transfer and cash hold the slot (24h / 48h) until the money arrives.
4Once the deposit is in, the booking is Confirmed and appears on the Calendar.
5Reminders go out automatically; after the session the balance and tip are taken in person.
NoteA booking is a line getting drawn — requested, deposit paid, booked. You'll see that progress line across the console and in the client's confirmation.
NoteSomeone walk in? You don't need a request — add them straight to Bookings with + New booking (see Managing bookings).
