Copyright & Takedown Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Linebook respects intellectual-property rights and expects its users to do the same. This policy explains how to report content you believe infringes your copyright, and how we respond. Linebook is operated from Canada and serves studios in Canada and the United States.
01Our role
Studios and artists upload their own content — portfolios, artwork and client photos. We act as a service provider hosting material at the direction of our users; we do not routinely monitor or pre-screen all uploaded content. If content infringes copyright, use the process below and we'll act on it.
02Reporting alleged infringement
Send a written notice to the contact below that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed.
- Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough information for us to locate it (e.g. the booking-site URL).
- Your contact information (name, address, phone, email).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
03Where to send notices
Linebook — Copyright Notices
51 William Street, Brantford, Ontario, N3T 3K6, Canada
Linebook has not registered a designated DMCA agent with the U.S. Copyright Office. The contact above is a reporting channel only and should not be read as a representation that Linebook has completed DMCA designated-agent registration or is claiming statutory safe-harbor availability. If and when Linebook registers a designated agent, we will update this page to reflect the registered information.
04What we do — United States
Where US law applies and we receive a facially valid notice through an operational reporting channel, we may remove or disable access to the identified material, notify the user who posted it, and process any counter-notice in accordance with applicable law. We maintain a repeat-infringer policy and may terminate repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. Nothing in this policy is intended to state or imply that statutory safe harbor is available unless and until Linebook has completed any required designated-agent registration and maintains the associated notice, takedown, counter-notice, and repeat-infringer workflows required by applicable law.
05What we do — Canada (notice-and-notice)
Where Canada's notice-and-notice regime applies, we may forward compliant notices to the relevant user and retain related records as required by law. Receipt of a notice does not necessarily require immediate removal under Canadian law unless our Terms, another legal obligation, or our own risk assessment requires it.
06Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice including: your signature; identification of the removed material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake; your contact information; and your consent to jurisdiction as required by applicable law. We may restore the material in line with applicable law.
07Misuse
Knowingly sending a false notice or counter-notice may expose you to liability. If we determine notices are being abused, we may decline to act on them. Repeated infringement or misuse of the service may also lead to suspension or termination under our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
