Acceptable Use Policy

Use Linebook lawfully, honestly, and in a way that respects your clients' privacy and other users. You are responsible for everything done under your account and for the content, client data and imagery you and your team upload.

You must not:

• Break or abuse the service — attempt to gain unauthorised access, probe, scan or test its security except under our Responsible-Disclosure Policy; interfere with or overload the infrastructure; or bypass or attempt to bypass rate limits, authentication, tenant isolation, role-based permissions, access controls or usage caps.
• Reverse-engineer — decompile, disassemble or attempt to derive source code, except to the extent the law expressly permits.
• Scrape or harvest — use bots, crawlers, scripts or automated means to extract data, images, availability, pricing or messages from the service or other studios' booking sites without our written permission.
• Resell or sublicense the service except as expressly allowed by your plan.
• Impersonate Linebook, another studio, or any person, misrepresent your affiliation, or use messaging features in a way that violates platform terms, client consent choices or applicable law.

You must not upload, store or transmit content that: is unlawful, infringes intellectual-property or privacy rights, or discloses someone's personal or health information without a lawful basis; is defamatory, harassing, hateful, or promotes violence or discrimination; is sexual content involving minors or otherwise unlawful in the applicable jurisdiction; contains malware or is designed to harm or deceive; includes government-issued ID images or similar identity documents unless Linebook expressly supports that collection flow in writing; or that you don't have the right to upload, store, display or use (including client photos, portfolio or reference images, and third-party artwork).

You are responsible for having the necessary rights, notices and consents for all client data and imagery you enter — including a lawful basis to collect and use consumer health data or other health information, and consent to store, display or otherwise use photographs, portfolio images and reference images.

If you collect client information through Linebook, you are the controller of that data. You must collect, use, disclose and retain it lawfully, with appropriate notice and consent; honour your clients' privacy rights and applicable law (e.g. PIPEDA, Quebec Law 25, US state privacy and consumer-health-data laws); not use consumer health data, intake answers or photos for unlawful, unexpected or non-consented marketing, profiling or disclosure; and not use Linebook's messaging or marketing tools to send unlawful, deceptive, unsolicited or platform-prohibited communications.

Marketing and automated messages sent through Linebook must comply with anti-spam law (e.g. CASL in Canada, CAN-SPAM in the US), platform terms and client consent choices: only message clients who have an existing relationship or have consented, identify yourself, avoid deceptive or excessive automation, and honour unsubscribe, opt-out and deletion requests. Linebook adds one-click unsubscribe automatically; do not attempt to defeat it.

A Studio subscription is for artists working at a single physical location (capped at 15 artists). It must not be used to aggregate unaffiliated or independent artists across locations, or as a distributed collective or marketplace, to avoid per-artist pricing. We may request reasonable proof of a single-location studio and may suspend accounts that use a Studio plan to circumvent pricing.

Deposits and payments run through your own payment setup. You must not use Linebook to facilitate fraudulent, prohibited or illegal transactions, or to evade your payment provider's rules.

We may investigate suspected breaches and may remove or restrict content, disable affected features, or suspend or terminate access — with or without notice depending on severity — where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the service, comply with law or platform rules, prevent spam or infringement, protect tenant isolation or access controls, or protect clients, other users, or people whose data is at risk. Where practical and commercially reasonable, we'll give you notice and a chance to cure. Serious, urgent or repeated breaches (including repeat copyright infringement — see our Copyright & Takedown Policy) may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination.
